Avari Carrasco
Life Before Erie...
As an angel, Ava Carrasco had been a tactical strategist for the Archangels. During her tenure in Heaven, she was manipulated by her lover, The General, and infused with the Oracle Thread, an ability allowing her to step outside her on consciousness and see all that was, all that is, and all that could be at once. It was believed this black tool of demonic source would aid the Archangels in The Generals quest to enslave both human and demon-kind alike, however when she defied his plans, she was abducted, imprisoned in a cage, and her soul brutally ripped from her body. Taking the body of a serial killer, one Lucy Farr, The General spent days invoking black rituals and succeded in trapping Ava's soul into Lucy's body. Next, he fused her wings upon the human back, and left her naked and weak in Erie to die, forever exiled.
Crash Landing
Survival in Erie took some adjustment, and as Ava struggled with her own moral compass, her path seemed to bring her inevitably closer to the demons and the darkness. From possession by Lucy, who was later removed, and a brief and tarnished carreer with the EISD, AVa's ability to find herself in trouble cost her the friendship of those she once swore to protect. At a party one evening, she was drugged and bit by a werewolf. Fearing what her "friends" would do, she withheld this information for days, only confesing when it was too late. But it was not a welcome change. The man who promised her the moon and stars abandoned her after the turn and left her to fend for herself. Lost, alone, she willingly underwent a ritual designed to darken her soul. Unfortunately, it not only worked, it further unlocked the Oracle Thread, which is now randomly triggered, and a weapon unleashed from the source of it's power, the demonic stains upon her soul. Moving on with her life, she eventually met Falk, the security director for the Muircastle Trust. It was love at first sight, and soon they were inseperable.
Ava's recent death both shocked and saddened many, including her adopted father, the Dreadshift's Nero. Yet Falk could not accept her passing, and upon taking her desecrated, and mysteriously carved body back to the Manor, sent his soul into Hell to find hers, and bring her back to life. After her ressurrection, Ava and Falk agreed that it be best she hide for a while, and so Ava invented the persona of Ginger Black. The strain however, was too much, and eventually, they decided to stop hiding. Later, before a crowd that included her minion, her father, and several good friends, Falk proposed to Ava, and she gladly accepted.
Heart of Darkness
A wedding was considered, but at the time, faction tensions between Dread, Ava's House, and the Trust, Falk's House, made them realiize their love for each other ran deeper than faction control, and each left their respective houses. Unfortunately, one never truly leaves the Dread, and to pay for her freedom, Ava surrendered her soul to Daimon Prather, who tattooed it upon his body. Without a soul, she lost the ability to control her Blackflames, the powers forged from the stains on her soul. Thinking herself powerless, the werewolf witch begged her mate, in an act of desperation, to turn her, and so he obliged, making her a Bloodwolf, like him. After a few days, Falk was able to pay the Trust for his own release, and the two began planning their nuptuals. Since Ava has maintained friendships with people in all factions, a public wedding would have been a potential massacre, and the young couple eloped.
After returning to Erie from a brief honeymoon, Ava joined the Oroborous Initiative as an agent, though her skills at design and tactical strategy made her an excellent choice for Engineer. Ava also joined The Seer as a photojournalist, and began exacting her revenge on several people for whom faction loyalties had prevented her from hunting. During the course of these events, she met Little One, a young woman who believes herself to be a puppy, and fell in love. Since bearing children was no longer an option for her, Ava begged Falk to let them adopt her, and happily doted on the girl. Her huband agreed, and Little moved in with them immediately, rescuing her from a life on the streets. Now complete, aside from the giant emptiness inside whre her Blackflames resided, Ava has shifted her focus from revenge to domestic concerns, chiefly trying to keep the many members of her extended family from killing each other.
