Avari Carrasco
Ava Ri Carrasco originally worked in Heaven's department of Love & Kindness, but was later moved to it's Archangel division to work under the guidance of it's general, her friend and lover. Maintaining more of a focus on tactical strategy and administration, Ava frequently joined the General in war meetings and planning sessions. However, one evening she was asked to remain home, and avoid the office entirely. Unfortunately, her biggest weakness has always been Curiosity, and Ava snuck into the complex and hid while the General met with several high-ranking angels, and several cloaked dark figures.
What she overheard shocked and sickened her. The General, fist slamming a table to ennuciate his point, shouted, "To save them all, we must enslave them all, Human and Demon alike." In her haste to escape, she was discovered. The General took her home, and fixed her a drink, which he dosed with something foul. After long hours of heated argument, he promised to abandon his plan and urged her to finish her drink. Taking her to bed, he laid her out, drugged and ineffectual, and waited for her to fall asleep. Once unconscious, he locked her in a small cage, and left her ther for days.
During her incarceration, the General waged a private war against a small band of humans, killers and thieves, selecting the most violent, the most evil of them, for his own pleasure. When finished with her, he strapped her body to an altar and performed a black ritual that killed her, yet left her body alive enough to contain Ava's soul, and gave the human shell Ava's wings. He then cast her from Heaven, leaving her to die in freakish misery in Erie, in a part of town where those who are not human are ripe for the pitchforking.
While working for the Sheriff's Department, her desire to help others became central to her reasons for keeping secrets from her friends, and soon she began working undisclosed investigations on her own, delving deeper into the seedy underworld to gather more evidence, however she was losing herself along the way. One evening, she was bitten by her werewolf companion, and kep this information from her friends out of fear of reprisals and shame, only confessing to the truth when it was too late. From there, her life became more dangerous, as she tried to serve the needs of her position with EISD, as well as still being a benefit to her new family.
Offered to her by former friends as a guide, an old wolf urged her to do the right thing. Trusting in them, she turned herself over only to be exiled from the only home she had. Turned out into the darkness of Erie a broken woman, Ava called upon the only ones she knew with enough power to make it all better, and in an evening of pain and agony like there has never been words for, she was removed of stains forced upon her soul, and darkened, though purity remained. When it was over, she stood victorious against the frightened child that she had once been and rose Avari, Ava, Dark Angel of Blood and Claw.
