Ex-mercenary, been working for the last 12 years in the Middle East and old Soviet Union. Wants to settle down, and spiritually 'put right' some of the things he has done in life.
Guilty, haunted by atrocities committed in war zones. Able to disconnect emotionally, but intellectually knows how bad a man he has been. Unwilling to let people get too close. Often expresses himself in snarky comments, but otherwise quite taciturn. A cold fish, but does have deep emotions that are stifled from years of being suppressed.
Quick to anger, bears grudges. Firearms and munitions expert. Not so hot on human relationships. Gets more out of practicing with his swords and pistols than out of human relations.
Wants to establish some kind of decent order in Erie and at least control if not outright eliminate the 'deviants' who make life miserable for the normal folk - whether through a private vigilante war, or more openly, with a group.

Needs to start to break down his walls and make friends

Wants to somehow try to make up for things that he did in the past.
