Erie Isle Vendor Guidelines

Note: ERIE ISLE management reserves the right to determine, based our our judgment, whether or not a particular vendor is appropriate for the sim. Erie Isle is a roleplay sim, and our first priority is maintaining consistency with our audience and storyline.

Process for establishing a shop or renting vendor space in Erie Isle:

1. First, contact a member of the GM team to determine if your products are appropriate for the sim.

2. If approved, you may then pay the box in front of the shop the specific amount. Your prim limits will be specified on the box. At that time you will be added as a vendor in the "Highview Land Owners Group," which will give you the ability to rez objects in the sim without being returned.

3. Once you have moved in, set up your shop. On completion, contact a staff member to review your setup.

Following are general guidelines for vendors:

1. Rez only a reasonable size sign for the shop. If you cover the front of your building, or if the sim owners determine your signage is inconsistent with the look of the sim, you will be asked to remove them.

2. Please do not use detection scripts to determine if avatars are near or entering your shop. If you need a detector script, use one based on collision only, and make it a phantom prim that covers your door. Items generating a lot of script time on the sim will be returned to your inventory without notice.

3. Lag reduction is critical, because of the large numbers of different textures in the shopping areas. You can help by a) where possible, use smaller resolution textures (128x128, or 256x256), and set your items to be phantom.

4. Please review the weapons allowed within the sim, contained in the sim rules at the entrance. Vendors may not sell banned weapons in the sim.

5. Please do not teleport significant numbers of people directly to your shop. Visitors should come through the sim entrance so that they can get a observer tag.

6. Do not rez DCS vendors. Combat meter sales are reserved for the sim owner only.

7. Please do not go over your prim limits. Erie Isle maintains generous prim limitations for vendors and renters. Repeat offenders will be ejected and their money refunded, minus a 1 week service fee.

8. Do not rez anything outside the shop you have paid for. Anything rezzed elsewhere will be returned without warning.
