Erie Isle Wiki: Korwyn Emerys Obscure

Modify | History | New Page

There are beings on this world that are immortal. This can not be refutted by the presense of demons and angels, as well as other things in Erie.

But there is something unique of a few in that they were not born that way, but granted it in punishment.

Their numbers are few, and their names are the source of many legends now.

Lilith: their first in number. she was never made mortal as her counterparts Adam and Eve were. Her path is the source of many legends. But one must remember that she still lives today, cursed and cast out by a power hungry god.

Caine: The brother of Abel, son of Adam and Eve, cursed for questioning god's actions and then killing his brother.

Gaius Cassius Longinus: The roman soldier who stabbed the Christ on the cross, made a saint in the 4th century and still doing the church's work. Granted immortality for ending the suffering of a prophet.

And Ishram...

Ishram you say? Who is that? I've heard that name before, but I just can't place it.

You're right, it's like a genetic memory, but he strives for you to forget it.

Ishram though goes back to Caine, for you see Ishram's proper name would be Ishram Ableson.

Yes, the old way of saying the Son of Abel.

But you say, Caine and Abel were only children, adam and eve had no other children at the time. Well when Caine was cast out to the land of Nod, how did he find others? He found a wife and had children, founded a whole city? did all of them come from adam and eve?

No, by far not.

So who is this Ishram? He is Caine's nephew by blood. Abel had a wife, and had a son. You can find them mentioned in some ancient texts, those that the Vatican and Kabbalah would like you to not get ahold of. Ishram did something bad, even worse then his uncle had.

You see, Ishram questioned the God's judgement on Caine. He believed that Caine should have lost his life, but of course we know how that went. Caine's crime was one of blood, Ishram's was one of passion. Like Caine he was cursed to walk the world till the end of days. His only thing to look forward to is that when the final battle comes, he will get the option to determine Caine's judgement.

He has walked the earth since then.

He has since followed and met such things as gods, goddesses, kings, queens. He walked the earth as a man, taking on scholarly pursuits. One thing he found he could do is adapt to the realm of men easy no matter where he was.

A few centruries back though, he ended up in Scotland. There he found something that changed him even more. He learned that with it he could manipulate some magical energies. Things have changed since then. He has become something of a wizard. He has followed fate ever since, and has just been going by what was dealt him. Now going by the name Korwyn Emerys Obscure, he has lived as one of their countrymen for some time.

A chance encounter with Gaius Cassius Longinus led him to enroll in college in Edinburgh, Divinity college, working on ancient cultures studies. He got his first few degrees over the last few years, and then went to Atlanta to work on a project for his thesis. They got him hooked up to take part in studying some of the locked up things from the jamestown settlement in virginia. While there a chance fishing trip let him to Erie Isle and he's been there ever since.

He knows fate has put him here, and he's still looking for what for. He has seen demons and monsters walkign the streets, he knows something is going on and will happen soon.

He's just waiting for fate to rear her head again.

Weaknesses: having been punished for finding something dishonest, Korwyn/Ishram is unable to tell a flat out lie. he can hide the truth by manipulation, but he will not lie. Not to mention this also means that if you can get him to make a bond of word,  he will keep his word/promises. it's not known what would happen if he broke his word or told a lie, but it appears to be a severe limit that he can not do so.
