Alba had a well educated, wealthy upbringing from birth to her young teens, in Göteborg, Sweden. After the unsolved death of her father and a year of endless investigations leading to a dead end, the case was closed and deemed unsolved. Alba’s mother moved her to San Francisco, California, in a desperate attempt to bring normality back into Alba’s life while she was still developing. In an attempt to distract her and keep her occupied as much as possible, she was put into numerous musical classes, where she speedily developed a sensational passion for world music.
After graduating high school with honours, she went on to become a Bachelor’s Degree student at UCLA for World Arts, and enjoyed it thoroughly. As her character began to shape with the knowledge she gained from every culture she could find, she soon began to hear the travellers call, and with that, she set off to explore the world in all its glory. She began learning endless views and beliefs of life and the possibilities of where it could lead and contain. Though Alba is wise in culture, and learns fast, her innocence remains intact.
~ CHARACTER GROWTH SINCE ARRIVAL ~
Upon arrival in Erie Isle, she spent her first two nights innocently oblivious to what lurks in the darkness, until she set out to gather some money during her musical performances for the Nomad Camp, a task set by the Baro for her to prove her uses, was she then introduced to things she never thought existed or could even be possible. Her first encounter with a supernatural being opened her up to a whole new world, learning fast that much of her knowledge learned in her short years, counts for nothing in a town with such different circumstances. The first stage of her new found character development started with a tumble after slipping on her didgeridoo, after the shock of seeing what appeared to be a whole new species of shark. As she hit her head violently on a rock during her fall, she fell into the nearby river, where she was later aided by her new aquatic encounter, and taken to the hospital, where her first stage of becoming acquainted with such beings began. Becoming friendly with the Dr Micah and slowly coming to terms with what she experienced came swiftly, as if time was somewhat rushed for her.
One day before all this occurred, she was pointed in the direction of the Nomad Camp to seek refuge and make use of her talents, after being advised that was where she would feel she most belonged in the town. After the horrendous incident occurred, she made herself a recluse inside the camp, taking a long while to deal with what she had observed and becoming too frightened to pass out of Nomad grounds. Though her nature was shy, and she came across bashful, at this point she was very nervous and concerned at the sight of anybody who’s face was unfamiliar, this included Nomads Patch and Toby on their first meetings with her, and it rippled for a short while until their presence, faces and personalities became more and more familiar to her. However, before the damage, she became happily acquainted with Baro Blitz, and Sahale. Sahale was as new to the town as Alba was, therefore already there was a little understanding between the pair, and soon there was a vague sibling bond between them as she grew comfortable in his presence.
A little over a week and Alba began to synchronize with the normality of Erie’s living, if you could even call it normal. She bizarrely took comfort in the presence of her first creature encounter, Blume. Soon she found herself being nurtured and cared for by her shark lady friend, since then, the bond has continued to grow strong and she is now taken in as Blume’s daughter for the love that has grown between them. This was the finest outcome for Alba, as a mother figure is exactly what she needed during her time of adaptability on the Isle.
Though she was still socially shy and withdrawn from a large number of Erie Residents, her confidence and backbone was slowly improving, this was also due to the help of her egotistical big brother figure, Tobi. But during one quiet night across the river from the camp, Alba heard a heartbreaking cry in the forest, where her immediate reaction by cause of her caring nature, rushed into the forest to see if she could aid the owner of the cry.
~ THE BEGINNING OF ALBA’S JOURNEY ~
As she took a small number of steps into the dark forest, she sought out the crying until she came to a small dark corner, though her mortal senses had deceived her as a creature came souring down through the treetops, landing on her shoulders, and gripping them with it’s large feet. Before she knew what was happening she was tossed against a large tree trunk, suffering a blow to the head. As her vision blurred from the physical shock, she squinted her eyes to see what appeared to be something morphing into different species continually until it was inches away from her. Where she felt a sharp excruciating pain in her arm from where it began to sank it’s teeth into her, leading it to morph multiple times at twice the speed it did before. After it released its long teeth from her arm, Alba nearly fell into unconsciousness, the last thing she heard was horse hooves galloping away in the distance.
She regained consciousness a few hours later, her wounds had clotted but left a horrible mess that she didn’t care for anybody to see. She bandaged up what she could and began closing herself off in the nomad camp once more. When her fellow Nomads, Tobi and Patch aided to her wounds, she was given a small gift by Tobi that would help her in future circumstances such as what she experienced earlier in the day. Though her wounds healed up flawlessly, there was a lingering abnormal connection between Alba and the creature that attacked her. And during the next few nights, she had several visits from it, in different forms. As time passed, this abnormal connection had her feeling stress-free in the creature’s presence. Until later on one evening, Alba was introduced to a human form of this individual, which evidentially appeared to be a very tall woman with a dark arrowed crown on her head. Though her words were few in number, her eyes told stories to Alba that were understood in ways she could never explain to her friends. As the connection grew stronger, so did whatever substance this lady planted inside Alba during the night she bit her, and Alba found her senses adapting dramatically, until one early morning, panic was in full swing as she looked in the mirror and found her eyes changing shapes, colours and her pupils enlarged exceedingly right in front of her. She rushed to grab her sunglasses and has hiding behind them since. She confided in her new found mother, Blume, who has given her full support in the situation and will help her during her experiences in this journey
